Student will learn how to efficiently schedule and manage appointments for patients, ensuring proper allocation of time and resources while maintaining an organized schedule.
Student will learn how to accurately gather patient information, verify insurance details, and maintain patient records in compliance with confidentiality and legal requirements. This includes updating records, filing documents, and retrieving necessary information when needed
Student will learn about medical billing and coding procedures, including submitting insurance claims, verifying coverage, and processing payments. They will understand the importance of accuracy and adherence to billing regulations.
Student will learn to develop effective communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members. This includes answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and handling various forms of correspondence, both in-person and electronically

What does the Medical Assistant Program consist of?
- This 14-week program offers students entry level CAAHEP and ABHES competencies training in preparation of taking the National Certification Exam. The program prepares you for a rewarding career in health care, shaping you to be an integral part of a dynamic, health-centered team.
- Students train under the supervision of a licensed instructor, learning to handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, billing, maintaining patient records, processing insurance claims and even ordering medical supplies.
DRESS CODE : A dress code is required for this program. You are required to purchase and wear the approved color (royal blue) scrubs/uniform to each class and Hands-on training workshops. Closed toe shoes, not sandals are to be worn. You may purchase a white lab coat/jacket, but a disposable lab coat/jacket will be provided and should be always worn during clinicals/hands-on labs.

Can I take this program online?
Unfortunately, this program is not currently offered as a Hybrid or Online program. Due to the extent and variety of skills and knowledge taught, this program provides a solid foundation for the key skills and procedures at the heart of Medical Assisting practice!
Is this program a Certificate of Completion or National Certification program?
Both!
Upon completion and passing the program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for the program and will have the opportunity to take the national Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Exam (CMAA). The price of the exam is included.
Note: The healthcare environment thrives on professionalism, precision and dedication to patient welfare. Medical assistant certification may be required for many jobs. Earning a CMAA establishes a medical assistant as a caring, responsible professional who has undergone a study and assessment program to validate their credentials.
Which National CMAA Certification does this program offer?
This program is designed to prepare students to successfully pass the MAA (Medical Administrative Assistant) certification exams.
